The 28th edition opened at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre with the Japanese Butoh company’s “Meguri — Teeming Sea, Tranquil Land”.
Choreographed by Ushio Amagatsu with music by Yoichiro Yoshikawa, Sankai Juku’s “Meguri” opened GIFT 2025 on 25 October, supported by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs.
The opening week continued on 29 October with Kulunka Teatro’s wordless mask piece “André & Dorine” at the Marjanishvili Theatre.
